Download and Install the Neato Updater Tool

Prepare Your Robot For Update

1. Make sure your Neato is fully charged, your AC adapter is NOT plugged into your Neato, and your Neato is NOT attached to its charge base.
2. Remove the mini-USB cover from the side of your Neato.

   

3. Plug the mini-USB cable into your Neato and the other end into your computer's USB port.

   Plug the small connector into the side of your Neato robot and plug the large connector into your computer's USB port.

4. Ensure that your Updater Tool is installed on your computer.

   To make sure the Neato Updater tool is installed on your computer:


   If using Windows, click on START icon, ALL PROGRAMS, and make sure Neato Updater Tool v2 is listed under the programs (shown below in list).
   
   
   OR
   
   If using a Mac, the Neato robot icon will be added to your DOCK on the screen as shown here on the far right.
   

5. Turn on your Neato by pressing the "START" button on your robot once. Your computer should recognize the robot. If it doesn't, try another USB port on your computer.

   * If you are using a desktop computer, we recommend using a USB port on the back of your computer.
   * Please note that Ultrathin notebooks have low-powered USB ports. You can either use a powered USB hub or borrow a desktop computer from a friend or family member.

6. Wait approximately 20 seconds for your Neato to connect to your computer and then click the "Start Update" button on this page.
