QA Hardware Engineer

  • Work closely with HW Engineering, SW Engineering and SW QA teams to develop and implement Product verification and validation tests.
  • Identify test strategies for a given feature and create test plans, fixtures, and processes in accordance.
  • Execute functional and regression tests as a part of release testing and triage results.
  • Identify external testing resources for augmenting capabilities or specialty testing capabilities.
  • Manage testing by ODM and external testing organizations for on-time execution and ensuring the testing meets our quality standards.
  • Proactively communicate concerns and risks to Engineering and Product leaders


  • 5+ years of experience in HW QA with robotics or other consumer electronics products
  • Role working on both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering testing
  • Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent skills managing issues in a defect tracking system, such as Jira, Pivotal, etc.
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and collaborate across organizational departments.
  • Proficient with standard ME lab test and measurement tools including high-speed scopes, function generators, measuring devices, and analyzers.
  • Proficient in software use, configuration, and execution of automated scripts for Linux IOT devices
  • Decisive and effective at issue tracking and resolution
  • Solid interpersonal skills


  • BS/BA Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field with equivalent practical experience


  • Background in creating and executing automation tests.
  • Background in Regulatory Compliance test verification
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Java and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
