Operations Program Manager

In the Operations Program Manager role, you will lead cross-functional teams responsible for the technical, manufacturing, and supply chain operations of Neato Robotics products from cradle to grave.  You will represent Operations in all team meetings and reviews. This position will own NPI process execution including prototype and pilot builds at our contract manufacturer and partner factories.  Additionally the Ops PM owns sustaining production issues related to Neato products such as line stops and quality issues.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Lead the Operations team for all NPI and sustaining activates
  • Early engagement with Product management and Engineering to drive Ops requirements into development of products
  • Lead DFx by gathering feedback from suppliers and addressing with engineering
  • Manage the Contract Manufacturer / factory operations to prepare for and execute prototype and pilot builds
  • Track all operational issues from prototype builds and drive resolution
  • Own and drive quality improvements throughout NPI, product launch, and sustaining production
  • Enable bundle, rework and refurbishment processes at distribution centers and repair centers through product launch and sustaining production
  • Lead capacity modeling with CM / factory and test / process equipment procurement and implementation
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to implement change orders and disposition materials at distribution centers, factories and sub-tier suppliers
  • Drive definition and adoption of PDP (Product Development Processes), quality processes, and other Ops related process improvements throughout the company
  • Author and review SOPs, BOMs, process guidelines and other Ops related documentation
  • Collaborate with partner organizations and suppliers to solve problems and present options to management for resolution
  • Present regular status updates and communications to management on NPI activities and operational status for all programs assigned
  • Up to 20% travel may be required

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • 7+ years experience in electronics design / development or manufacturing including 3+ years as a Program Manager (Engineering, NPI, Operations, Supply Chain etc.)
  • Prefer 5+ years of New Product Introduction (NPI) experience
  • Prefer experience managing Asian CMs, factories, or suppliers including travel to Asia
  • Prefer experience with high volume consumer products or electromechanical products
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • ERP, bug tracking and PDM systems experience such as Oracle NetSuite, Jira, Arena
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
