Neato Robotics is looking for a talented and seasoned Hardware Product Manager to join our growing world class team.

Responsibilities

  • Product management of Neato robots, product initiatives and accessories
  • Define product requirements and performance metrics for products and accessories
  • Develop related documents, including user stories or other requirement documents needed to support a clear understanding of project plans across the organization
  • Create product documentation and training materials and conduct product training as needed
  • Perform market research and analysis to identify user experience pain points and opportunities to delight consumers in new ways
  • Create a vision for multiple product categories and communicate project objectives to multiple groups throughout the organization
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience and product performance
  • Manage the overall product portfolio and help drive the product roadmap
  • Manage product SKUs while working with both sales/marketing on business case and defining the product with engineering/operations
  • Collaborate with hardware team members, other product managers, industrial designers, and electrical and mechanical engineers to iterate product requirements and ensure teams have what they need to work efficiently
  • Support the launch of new releases or products by working closely with cross-functional groups, including Engineering, Marketing, Ops, Sales, Finance, Customer Support, etc. 
  • Provide feedback/input for branding, messaging, and product positioning to marketing

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years product management experience developing successful consumer hardware products
  • Proven experience launching consumer hardware products from concept through launch
  • Experience in defining product positioning, building consumer targets, creating value propositions, and sizing the market
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and managing and overseeing multiple on-going initiatives simultaneously with a minimal amount of guidance
  • Experience managing the lifecycle and launch of new products with global cross-functional teams and sales organizations
  • Able to understand and navigate integration tradeoffs when building a product with electrical, mechanical, SW and cloud elements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or other technical field

Ideal Qualifications

  • Experience developing product strategies and roadmaps
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions
  • Entrepreneurial instincts with clear bias for informed action and track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support
  • Experience with consumer robotics solutions and/or “smart home” IOT products/services like Amazon Alexa, Google Home, etc.
  • MBA or Masters degree in a design or product development related program
