The Demand & Supply Planning Lead is a member of our Supply Chain Team and the position requires cross-functional coordination across several groups, with an emphasis on partnering with Sales, Marketing, Customer Care and Operations. The Demand & Supply Chain Lead will be responsible to build out the CM manufacturing Master Scheduling of all products, accessories and spare parts by using multiple inputs of data, internal and external. As the lead for Demand & Supply Planning, the candidate will provide Sales and Operations teams with timely analysis, guidance and decision-making to ensure the demand forecasts are aligned with key stakeholders needs, while meeting the company’s goals and objectives. This includes generating and publishing monthly and weekly demand forecasts, including clear identification of assumptions highlighting significant changes since release of previous report. This position is a key contributor within the Operations Planning process and will entail identifying risks and clear communication to the business stakeholders and Sr. Management. In this role, there is a need to have a demonstrated interest in data analysis, technology and be digitally savvy with the ability to identify opportunities, risks and manage change.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts of all items for accountable segments of the business by utilizing a combination of statistical forecasting and integrate insights gained via partnering with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Project Teams and Finance departments. Ensure consistent integration into the forecast of customer insights, base business trends, merchandising promotional plans, new item volumes, plan-o-gram changes and seasonal volume with the goal of reducing working capital and minimizing forecast errors.
  • Analyze data using business intelligence tools and continually improve data flow, leading process improvements within forecasting tool (Excel > Anaplan).
  • Own, improve our Planning tool in the way of configuration, maintaining, deployment, system support, and enhancements of the toolset. Continuously test and modify models to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Manage new items, specific systems and tools integration with the demand planning tool.
  • Perform rough-cut forecast planning to balance product specific requirements, sales demand projections and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect them in planning activities.
  • Partner with Logistic and OP&S teams to optimize inventory levels to help achieve financial objectives.
  • Maintain forecasts models and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy to action; Influence, negotiation, change mgt, and presentation.
  • Lead and participate in relevant projects as assigned by/to the Operations Team.
  • Define action plans to improve KPIs, processes, methods and tools in Operations.

Education or Experience: 

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years business process expertise in Supply Chain Management and Planning is required.
  • Digitally savvy and with strong business acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners, preferably in Asia
  • Experience leading and defining requirements and driving these across diverse organizations
  • Strong knowledge of EDI, MRP/ERP systems and functionality.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Advanced technical skills in master production scheduling, capacity planning and forecasting principals are required; grounded demand planning theory with the ability to enhance current process with minimum guidance is desired
  • Excellent ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize internal resources
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and ability to adapt to frequent changes.
  • Strong working knowledge of supply chain planning tools such as Anaplan (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Broad knowledge of the software solutions (Arena, Adaptive, Jira and / or Netsuite would be desirable), tools, technical standards, and integration techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Entrepreneurial personality and project management skills desired
  • Leadership through ownership and a management style of accountability.
  • Previous Asia CM/ODM experience required
