Job Overview

We are actively seeking a fully remote Senior UX Designer to join our growing User Experience team. We believe that a customer-centered focus should be at the core of everything we do. You will play a vital part in redefining our customer experience, while establishing a design culture across our organization’s functional teams.

  • Collaborate with product managers, software & hardware engineers and other designers on ambitious projects to understand customer problems, defining user stories, and advocating for the user through all stages of the process
  • Assist the design team with producing design deliverables across the entire design process
  • Contribute to a growing design system and language that will impact both hardware and software
  • Iterate on our design strategy to help our team use effective processes and methodologies
  • Spearhead and facilitate cross-functional design sprints
  • Plan, develop, and execute user research and testing strategies
  • Support engineering and QA during development and post launch
  • Be an advocate for the user and design strategy throughout the product development process to achieve product and organization objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Masters in a discipline related to Human-Computer Interaction
  • A link to your portfolio included on your resume or cv, which showcases a collection of recent work that show your process and ability to solve problems.
  • 5-8 years of experience designing and shipping a variety of products spanning web and mobile. (IoT design experience a plus!)
  • Must have experience working in a remote context and facilitating design swarms online through online collaborative tools such as Figma and Mural
  • Fluency in building out design systems and the process in developing and expanding upon one
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile and designing cross-functionally
  • Solid experience in planning effective design sprints or swarms
  • Fluency with adaptive and responsive web and application design
  • Expert knowledge of Figma
  • Strong grasp of programming languages are a plus. (JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, etc.)
  • Experience in Robotics is a plus
